Description

A boundary ditch and irregular enclosure earthwork of uncertain date is visible on remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at the southwest corner of Three Parks Wood and centred at SP 65135 39076, a curvilinear ditch about 3 metres wide extends 75 metres from the western boundary ditch to the southern boundary ditch of the woodland, creating a subrectangular ditched enclosure in a diamond shape, with its corners aligned to the west, south, north and east. Within the enclosure is a small mound of uncertain date and function about 6 metres in diameter, from which a 1.5 metres wide earthwork bank extends NW about 13 metres (1).
