Monument record MBC44799 - A Second World War military depot, Durrants Farm.

A Second World War military depot is visible on historic aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field adjacent the entrance to Durrants Farm on Radclive Road and centred at SP 67960 32885, the depot comprises 53 rectangular military buildings and/or structures, either roughly aligned N-S or W-E, accessed by a network of footpaths and with road access to Radclive Road. Some of the smaller rectangular structures may be ammunition hutments. Most of the buildings have been demolished by 1961, except for seven buildings that remain extant. By 1993 only one of these remaining buildings has been demolished, though the final six have been demolished by 2003. On aerial photographs taken in 2019, the site is now covered by an estate of large new industrial and commercial buildings. No evidence of the wartime facility is visible (1-6).
