Description
A rectilinear ditched enclosure of probable Iron Age and/or Roman dated is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located across paddocks about 375 metres SW of Boleyn Farm and centred at SP 67505 30540 a rectilinear ditch up to 7 metres wide encloses an area about 129 metres WNW-ESE and 125 metres SSW-NNE. If originally rectangular in form, the NE corner and part of the E side has been truncated by a sinuous section of medieval hollow way (1-2).
