- BOUNDARY (Medieval to Post-Medieval - 1066 AD to 1798 AD)
Description
A linear boundary medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks, levelled earthworks and cropmarks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located 350m south of the A421, Great Horwood, and centred at SP 78024 31888. This boundary is visible on the 1813 Ordnance Surveyors’ Drawing for Winslow as the southern boundary for Whaddon Chase. Modern land use is arable so earthwork is not well defined on lidar. (1-4)
