Description

A short drainage ditch of medieval/post medieval date is visible on remote sensing data as an earthwork and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in College Wood, Great Horwood, and centred at SP 79028 33291. In the former Baggs Coppice in College Wood; underlying geology is Weymouth mudstone overlain by Till/Diamicton, overlain by clayey soils with impeded drainage. This ditch is almost straight, others in the woodland are more sinuous and natural in form. (1-2)
