Description

A small plot with a possible building platform at the centre of medieval/post medieval date is visible on remote sensing data) as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at on the road to The Common from Great Horwood and centred at SP 77219 31677. The plot size is 32x37m and the house platform 10x7m; it fits in to the ridge and furrow earthworks in the surrounding fields, with a slight earthwork boundary on the southern side, but is not visible on the 1813 map of Winslow, on the north side of the road in to Whaddon Chase.
