A trackway of medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the north and west side of the village, around Old End, Padbury, and centred at SP 71637 30662. The line of this road is visible as plot boundaries and areas between ridge and furrow earthworks and the boundaries and it continues between Main Street and the London Road (A413), by 1993 arable land use has levelled some of the extent of the road and the southern end has been affected by the construction of the railway and modern development after the removal of the line in to Buckingham. The 1591 map of Padbury shows this road and the house and garden boundaries that extend to it and Hedge Fielde beyond; some of the furlongs are named on the map. (2-11)
