Description

An extractive pit of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 450m south east of Nash and centred at SP 78619 33770. The pit is an irregular elongated shape measuring 54x27m and was probably a marl pit as it is within a field and cut through ploughed out ridge and furrow earthworks. (1-2)
