Description
A training camp of World War II date is visible on historic aerial photographs as extant buildings and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at Little Horwood Manor, Little Horwood, and centred at SP 79083 31563. Manor Farm (Little Horwood Manor), a 20th century arts and crafts house, requisitioned during World War II and used as an out station for Bletchley Park (listing information). The camp is visible as Nissen and Laing huts, and larger buildings, one of which still remains in use as a business park, and a sewage works to the south. Italian prisoners of war were housed, possibly in the stables, and the house used for senior personnel. (1-4)
