Description
An extractive pit of post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 150m east of the road through Nash and centred at SP 78413 34133. The pit is cut in to ridge and furrow earthworks and is subcircular, 18m in diameter. It is probably a former marl pit based on its location and is cut in to Superficial Deposits of Till overlying Stewartby Mudstone. (1-2)
