Description

A network of drainage ditches of probable post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 450m north of Barnfield Farm, Whaddon, and centred at SP 79427 34443. Ditches drain in to a central drain which runs along the centre an area of lower ground, the underlying geology is Superficial Deposits of Head overlying Peterborough mudstone; they are located between areas of ridge and furrow field systems.
