Description

An extractive pit of post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 250m north east of Holywell Farm, Nash, and centred at SP 77597 34504. Subcircular extractive pit, possibly a marl pit, 45x36m in size. Underlying geology is superficial deposits of Till/Diamicton overlying Mudstone. (1-2)
