Description

A large former extractive pit of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the south side of Little Horwood Manor (mid 20th century house) centred at SP 79255 31565. Pit is approximately 290x70m and appears to have been landscaped in to the gardens at Little Horwood Manor; shows as made ground on geology mapping. (1-3)
