Description
Ditches of post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 650m south west of Little Horwood and centred at SP 78522 30402. Linear ditches between areas of ridge and furrow, probably for drainage, and also forming a boundary around an area of woodland shown on historic mapping. Underlying geology is partly superficial deposits of alluvium, peat, head and glaciofluvial gravels overlying Weymouth mudstone. (1-3)
