Description

An extractive pit of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at Brown’s Close, Winslow, and centred at SP 76374 27882. Irregular shaped extractive pit, 75x36m, visible on aerial photograph. Area has been redeveloped as a housing estate by 2017. Underlying geology is glaciofluvial sands and gravels overlying Weymouth Mudstone. (1-2)
