Description

A post-medieval or early 20th century drainage system is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located immediately adjacent North Farm and centred at SP 83431 25093, five parallel linear drainage ditches up to 3.5 metres wide and between 46 and 112 metres long are aligned NW-SE, all being connected by a 52 metres long linear drain at the NW end that is angled and aligned N-S. On aerial photographs taken in 2019 and recent remote sensing data, the features are no longer visible (1-3).
