Description
Medieval settlement platforms are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located between Brises Farm and Moat Farm at Nearton End and centred at SP 80348 26942 are two subcircular earthwork platforms. One slightly subrectangular platform is about 42 x 24 metres. Separated by a ditch and centred some 35 metres to the west is a L-shaped platform about 45 x 34 metres at its widest. Bounding the south of both platforms is a 5 metres wide sinuous ditch that extends W-E for 78 metres (1-2).
