Monument record MBC43675 - post-medieval rectangular ditched enclosure, Nordens Farm

A post-medieval rectangular ditched enclosure is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on a field boundary about 385 metres SE of Nordens Farm and centred at SP 82867 27374, a three-sided ditch about 2 metres wide abuts a field boundary forming a rectangular ditched enclosure that encloses an area about 29.5 x 28 metres. Constructed on a block of medieval and/or post medieval ridge and furrow cultivation, this feature may be a pound or stock enclosure. On aerial photographs taken in 2019 and recent remote sensing data, the feature remains extant (1-3).
