Description

Enclosures of possible Iron Age date are visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 650m to the north east of Buckslow Farm and centred at SP 79843 25607. A group of three enclosures comprising a large subrectangular enclosure (650x48m), and a smaller subrectangular enclosure (18x20m) and a curvilinear (almost triangular - 26m across). This area was covered by ridge and furrow earthworks in the 1940s but land use had changed to arable by the late 20th century and no earthworks are visible on any remote sensing data. (1)
