Description

An area of earthworks of probable post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the east side of Granborough Road where it crosses the Claydon Brook and centred at SP 76546 26098. These low banks and ditches do not have a clear form, they appear to overlie ridge and furrow patterns. Land use looks to have changed from permanent pasture in 2017 to arable or ley pasture. The earthworks of Biggin Manor/shrunken settlement are on the opposite side of Granborough Road here. (1-3)
