Description

A building platform and boundaries of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located tapproximately 100m to the north of 1 Green End, Granborough, and centred at SP 76744 25139. The linear earthworks are parallel to existing boundaries which are the same as those shown on historic mapping. The field name (from the HER layer) is Pumphouse Close. These earthworks are visible in a low lit, frosty aerial photograph and are not clearly visible after this was taken. The area is a small paddock at an equestrian establishment and the ground may have been levelled. The 1813 Ordnance Surveyors' drawing does not appear to show a building present at this location.
