Description

A group of extractive pits of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 300m west of the A4113 and centred at 77993 26540. Large irregular pits cut in to ridge and furrow earthworks; they have been infilled and are now in arable fields but are still visible in cropmarks and slightly uneven ground. (1-5)
