Description

The main range lies to the east and is a typical arrangement of double-pile construction with central hall and flanking reception rooms, mirrored by a landing and bedrooms above. A cellar is mentioned in sales particulars but was not identified during the building recording. Northern rear extension (Phase 2) comprised part of the kitchen and other rear service areas. Two southern rear extensions form Phases 3 and 4. Western rear extension forms Phase 5- additional reception room, dressing area to the main suite.
East elevation: Principal elevation facing a former lawn. Main range symetrical with central door and flanking windows. Entension to the south of firebricks. North elevation: white painted brick, modern first floor window. West elevation: Fairly plain, single modern window to the ground floor and two to the first floor. South elevation: Shows various phases of building. Main two-storey range, short rear extension, and 2 longer two-storey rear ranges. Outbuilding: red brick barn with pitch peg tile roof. Large lantern at the gable end and 2 tie-plates to the west elevation (B1-2).
