Description

Probable post medieval linear and curvilinear drainage ditches are visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located south of Stapleford Farm and centred at SP 89807 28010, the ditches extend about 570 metres along both banks of the River Ouzel and are aligned either parallel with the river or perpendicular to it. The features described on the west side of the river appear to have been plough-levelled on aerial photographs taken in 2019, but those on the east side are still visible on recent remote sensing data (1-2).
