Description

A curvilinear post medieval drainage ditch is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on a meadow adjacent the River Ouzel to the north of Three Locks and centred at SP 89082 28671, a curving ditch up to 5 metres wide extends N-E from SP 88978 28894 to SP 89288 28592 for about 516 metres, linking to the river at both ends. Visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, the ditch now forms part of a modern golf course and is not visible on aerial photographs taken in 2019 (1-4).
