  • HOUSE (19th Century - 1800 AD to 1899 AD)

Description

Small C19 cottage. Painted roughcast render with slate roof and gable end, ridgeline chimneys. The building has a single storey extension to the left hand side with red clay tile roof. Windows in the house are timber casements, but their long length suggests that they may be later replacements for sash windows. The door is timber, panelled, with a small projecting porch. The building is of architectural and historic interest, and is visually important in views along Spring Lane. The simple looped railings in front of the property are also a visually important feature in views along the street. A local note building within the Conservation Area of Great Horwood (B1).
