Description

Private gasworks associated with the Abbey. Present on 1880 OS Map, disused by 1899. Nothing visible
survives (B13).
A gasometer is marked on the 1880 1st edition 25-inch OS and marked as 'disused' on the 1899 2nd edition 25-inch OS map. A small building (the retort house?) immediately to the east of the gasometer is shown on the OS mapping and appears to still survive (B14).
