Description

Linear and curvilinear anomalies identified by geophysical survey relating to the shrunken medieval village of Chetwode. Anomalies form square and rectangular enclosures, and possible trackways. (B1)


[Former location where thought to be. Location is as B1] Chetwode SP 640 297. Scattered, with site away from modern church. Listed by Beresford as a suspect DMV (B2).
In an area centred at SP 6415 2955 are some vague earthworks which form no coherent pattern. Doubtless indicating outbuildings and agriculture associated with the priory. No village remains are evident (B3)
