Description

1649 MAP SHOWS 'MINISTER'S HOUSE' & 'PARSONAGE CLOSE' IMMEDIATELY S OF CHURCHYARD (B1).
1617 & 1657 TERRIERS OF POSSESSIONS BELONGING BENEFICE INCLUDED VICARAGE - 'SMALL COTTAGE, THATCHED'. ALSO MENTION IN 1724 TERRIER (B2).
PARSONAGE HOUSE REBUILT C.16YRS AGO & IS NEAT RESIDENCE ON S SIDE OF CHURCH (B3).
JMHS conducted an archaeological watching brief during the groundwork for a new garage, swimming pool and tennis court at the Old Vicarage. No archaeological features were recorded (B5).
