A VERY SMALL PLACE; A DISTINCT PARISH, AS IN 1066, BUT FOR LONG AFTERWARDS ANNEXED TO MENTMORE, UNTIL RECENTLY (B1).
1 FARMHOUSE, 2 COTTAGES ARE ONLY HOUSES (B2).
NO VILLAGE PROPER. OPEN FIELDS IN 1607. SMALL EARTHWORK W OF CANAL & POSSIBLE TRACES IN FIELD W OF CHURCH. IN LIST OF BUCKS DMV'S (B3).
Domesday entry: In Grove Robert holds 2 1/2 hides from Jocelyn [the Breton]. Land for 2 ploughs; in lordship 1. 2 villagers have another plough. The value is and was 20s; before 1066, 27s. Two brothers held this manor; they could sell (B4).
No village proper (B6).
