Description
SHERDS FOUND BY P AND A M MUIR WOOD WHILE DIGGING DEEP HOLES FOR TREE PLANTING. SITE IS ON EAST SIDE OF DRY VALLEY 15M ABOVE VALLEY FLOOR. SHERDS FOUND 35CM BELOW SURFACE (B1-2).
Iron Age 'A' sherds were found during 1965 when digging in the garden of No 27 Stratton Road, SU 92779076. (1)
The present owner has no knowledge of the above finds and has found nothing of significance in the large and steep W-sloping garden. The above siting is apparently to the garden centre (B3).
