Description

The Princes Risborough Gas Light and Coke Co. was formed in 1864. Operated as the Princes Risborough Gas Co from 1872-1949. Vested in the Southern Gas Board from the Princes Risborough Gas Light and Coke Company, Ltd. The site and buildings were in use as a 'Corporation Yard' in the 1970’s. The gas managers house and retort house remain and other buildings may also remain (B1).
