Description

Wing Lodge is a modern French-style house of white brick with dark brick gables. Residence of Victoria Countess of Yarborough [1925] (B1).
Wing Lodge is shown on 1878 1st edition and later 25-inch and 6-inch historic OS maps. Vertical aerial photo shows house being demolished in 1985 (B2).
Wing Lodge, the home of Lord and Lady Orkney in 1906 (B4).
Built in 1874, the residence of the Earl of Orkney in 1895, 1899 and 1903. Listed as residence of Walter H Preston in 1907, and of John Pascoe Grenfell in 1911 and 1915 (B5).
