Description
BROKEN NEOLITHIC CELT FOUND ON BERKS SIDE OF THAMES NEAR BOVENEY CHURCH. 'BERKS SIDE' OF THAMES AT THIS POINT ACTUALLY IN BUCKS DUE TO COUNTY BOUNDARY CUTTING ACROSS S BANK OF THAMES (B3).
[Area centred at SU 9412 7763] Broken neolithic celt from Berkshire side of Thames near Boveney Church. Found in Oct., 1952 (B6).
Boveney Church is situated at SU 9400 7768. The "Berkshire side" of the Thames - at this point - is actually in Bucks, owing to the way in which the county boundary cuts across the southbank of the Thames (B7).
