Description

Jeffreys map of 1770 shows buildings along both sides of Bell Street. 24 and 26 Bell Street are shown on an 1810 Tithe map and Inclosure map of 1823. The inclosure map shows a division of the land suggesting the 2 properties have been split from one at sometime between 1810 and 1823. Building 26 seems to show elements of timber framing, including a large chamfered beam, presumed to be 17th century date. The structure was reworked and split from the main structure. (B1, B2).
