Description

SW OF FARMHOUSE, FOUNDATIONS, POSS REMAINS OF CHAPEL (B1).
FOUNDATIONS, POSS ECCLESIASTICAL BUILDING & WORKED STONES AT BROUGHTON FARM (B2).
2 REFS TO CHAPEL AT BROUGHTON BUT NO TRACE. ORIGINALLY 1 OF 2 APPENDANT TO WESTON TURVILLE. MENTIONED PRIVILEGE OF POPE ALEXANDER III & AGAIN MENTIONED 1535 (B3).
Earthworks of a possible substantial rectangular masonry building measuring c21m X 9m and aligned E-W (structure 7) tentatively interpreted as possible remains of the chapel, although located within an agricultural or domestic courtyard, rather than adjacent to the hall (B15).
