Description

LA TENE I BROOCH, FOOT & BOW ONLY. RECURVED FOOT TERMINATES IN A THICKENED DISC WITH CENTRAL DOT. SCORED LINES ON FOOT BESIDE DISC (ILLUS). BROOCH HINTS AT PRE-BELGIC/ROMAN OCCUPATION OF SITE BUT THERE IS NO OTHER EVIDENCE OF IRON AGE OCCUPATION (B5,B15,B20).
