MILL ACQUIRED IN C13 BY THE DE CHAUNCEAUX FAMILY: IN C16 STILL CALLED 'CHAUNCEYS MILL' ALIAS 'NOKE MILL'. SOLD 1626, RENTED BY RICHARD PLAYTER WHO HAD UPSTREAM FISHERY (B2-3).
NOKE MILL WAS IN THE PART OF CHALFONT PARK WITHIN THE DETACHED PART OF IVER PARISH, OF WHICH PLAITER WAS TENANT (B8-9,B11).
