SITUATED IN COMMANDING POSITION ABOVE STEEP NATURAL SLOPES TO W. MOST PROB CIVIL WAR HALF MOON BATTERY FORMING DEFENCE OF ADJ CHURCH AGAINST MAIN N-S LINE OF MARCH. RAMPART HAS MAX HEIGHT OF 1.7M ABOVE INTERIOR & MAX WIDTH OF 18M TO RAMPART TOP. CANNON WOULD BE FED VIA HOLLOW WAY TO W (B6).
