SLOPES & TERRACES: APPEAR ARTIFICIAL. CALLED THE LINCES & DENOTES THE BRITONS 'CHARIOT COURSES (B1).
CULTIVATION TERRACES/LYNCHETS, NOT NECESSARILY AGRICULTURAL OR EVEN ARTIFICIAL (B2).
SERIES OF LYNCHETS (B3-4).
LYNCHETS OR MORE PROBABLY CULTIVATION TERRACES. HEIGHT 1.5-2M; MAX PLATFORM WIDTH 12M. NGRS (B5).



(Centred: SP 914170) Cultivation Terraces (NR) (B6).
Cultivation terraces, known locally as 'linces', survive to a height of 1.5-2.0m. They are heavily overgrown with scrub. Their isolated character suggest a medieval date (B7).
The terraces are extensive in area. They run from SP 9135 1689 to SP 9149 1719 and have a maximum platform working width of 12.0m. No adjacent habitation is evident other than the modern West End Farm. Published survey (25") correct (B8).
