Description

Dimensions - Length 100mm, Thickness 5mm, Width 38mm.
KNIFE DAGGER, MUCH GROUND DOWN. FOUND BY SCHOOLCHILDREN (ILLUS AND DRAWING) (B1-3).
FINDSPOT AT NGR (B4).
NOTCH-HILTED RAPIER/DIRK/DAGGER: CLASS 3 WEAPON (ROWLANDS) (B5).
ACTUALLY A WORN GROUP IV DIRK/RAPIER, PERHAPS RE-USED AS A KNIFE (B6).


A worn down bronze dagger was found in the garden of Lee Common Council School (SP 906042). Now in the Aylesbury Museum (B2).
Sited to centre of school garden - SP 90650424. Found by schoolchildren in 1925 Acc No 143:25 (b8) (B7).
