Description

Plan Form - CIRCULAR
An IA uninscribed gold quarter stater (Gallo-Belgic 'B') was found circa 1953 in the roadway to Manor Farm; now in the Aylesbury Museum. (B1).
GALLO-BELGIC 1/4 STATER, DEFACED DIES 'BELLOVACI'. BB2 (MACK 8; EVANS D3,4). FOUND 1953 (Allen, who mentions the Head reference, gives the siting as roadway to Moor Farm; OS 6" 1960 shows Manor House at SP 930 071, close to the Cholesbury IA settlement).(B2).
OBV: HAPHAZARD LINES OF DEFACED DIE; REV: HORSE PRANCING LEFT, 'LYRE-SHAPED 'OBJECT BELOW, POLE, PART OF CHARIOTEER CLIMBING IT. FOUND BY MR J THOMPSON AT NGR (B3).


Found on roadway to Manor Farm (SP 9295 0710). Acc No 91.61 (B4).
