AXE, PLANO-CONVEX SECTION, AN UNBLEMISHED ACHEULIAN BIFACE OF HIGHLY DEVELOPED WORKMANSHIP. 2 PATCHES OF VARNISH-LIKE SILICEOUS FILM OCCUR ON DOMED SURFACE. NEAR TIP, SURFACE ALTERATION THINS, REVEALING BASIC MATERIAL TO BE GREY FLINT (ILLUS). FOUND BY A FRIEND OF MR R A MACNIVEN (B1-2).
