Description

Ash Mill or Lanes Mill: period of known occupation, 1726-1844. Last known referenceto this mill was that John & Joseph Lane were paper makers there in 1844. But date of mill closure unknown. There is no visible evidence left at all; mill has been completely demolished & lost & even the river in the possible area where the mill stood shows no evidence (B6).
