IRON OBJECT FOUND BY BEVIS COLMER. SMALL PARTICLES OF FLINT ON IT. MORE CAME OFF IN WASHING. TAPERS TO A POINT AT 1 END, FLAT AT OTHER, WITH 2 SMALL RAISED KNOBS. PERHAPS A ROMAN PATERA HANDLE OR PART OF A 'HIPPO SANDAL'. FOUND S OF BRIDGE BY AYLESBURY LODGE (COLMER'S DRAWING FILED)(B3).
