Description

Before Conquest, Leuric held Lede Manor. 1086: held by Bishop of Lincoln & assessed at 1.5 hides. It corresponds to half a knight's fee of 2 fees held in Wooburn by Oliver Deyncourt in 1235 & to estate known as Lyde/Lude Manor from late C17. Lude Farm, an old manor farm (B1).
