THAMES PICK, FOUND IN GRAVEL BANK OF A WATERCRESSBED AT BOURNE END. 3 MAIN CUTTING EDGES RUNNING LENGTHWISE, 1 EDGE FLAKED OFF ABOUT 1 INCH FROM THE END, LEAVING A CHISEL-LIKE END (BI3) THAMES PICK DONATED BY MISS GWYNNE CRABBE, THE PARADE, BOURNE END, IN 1927 (BI1,4) 'WATERCRESS BEDS' AT NGR (BI,2)


A large Palaeolithic pick found at Bourne End (SU 8986) was presented to the County Museum, Aylesbury by Miss G Crabbe. (B5)
