TRADITION PLACES THE SITE OF TINGEWICK'S MARKET CROSS AT THE END OF CROSS LANE (AT NGR), ALSO THE VILLAGE STOCKS (B2-3).
THIS LOCATION OF THE CROSS MADE MORE CERTAIN BY ARCHAEOLOGICAL & DOCUMENTARY RESEARCH (B3-4).
NB: GRANT OF A WEEKLY MARKET (TUESDAY) MADE IN 1246 [CART 31 HENRY III PT2, MEMBRANE 1] (B1).
