Description

Putative limestone courtyard surface of probable post-medieval date, identified during a watching brief undertaken throughout groundworks for a single storey rear extension. The surface comprised fragmented limestone blocks, identified within Trenches 2 and 3. Overlying the limestone surface was a reworked garden soil layer (B1).
