Description

[To the rear of 24 Bell Street an L-shaped building is shown on the 1st edition OS map.]
The robbed out wall trench was cut by a modern pit. The wall trench was 0.80m wide and extended for 0.90m. It was filled with mid brown-grey silty clay. Four sherds of 16-19th century pottery and post-medieval brick were recovered from its fill.
A robbed out wall trench, that could have been a garden feature which is at an angle to the garden plot layout [site plan shows foundation on similar alignment to the building on the 1st ed OS map](B1).
